         Mr. Ron Center
         The Boeing Company

                                                               Re: Call Sign E080128
                                                               File No: SES—LIC—20080527—00678

         Dear Mr. Center:

On May 27, 2008, The Boeing Company (Boeing) filed the above—captioned application for a
license to operate a new Temporary—Fixed earth station that will operate in the conventional Ku—
Band.‘ We request Boging to provide, by amendment, additional information to allow the
Commission to continue to process the application.

In response to Question E15 of Schedule B, Boeing noted that its proposed AVL 0.96 meter
antenna, model 965KCB, complies with the antenna gain patterns specified in Section 25.209(a)
         and (b) of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.209(a) and (b). Although, in this case, Boeing
is not required to submit antenna gain patterns for its proposed earth station antenna, we find that
we cannot process Boeing‘s application further without such patterns. In addition, Section
         25.132(a)(1) of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.132(a)(1), authorizes the Commission to
request earth station license applicants to demonstrate compliance with Sections 25.209(a) and
         (b) upon request. Accordingly, pursuant to Section 25.132(a)(1), we request Boeing to
demonstrate compliance by submitting the antenna gain patterns for the proposed antenna.

We request that Boeing respond to this letter within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter.
Failure to do so may result in the dismissal of the applications in its entirety pursuant to Section
         25.112(c) of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.112(c).

                                                               Sincerely
