SES-LIC-20070504-00563 and SES-AMD-20090515-00596 Dear Ms. Medley: KVH Industries, Inc. (“KVH”), pursuant to Section 1.65 of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.65, hereby updates the record of the above-referenced earth station onboard vessels (“ESVs”) license application for Call Sign E070085 to remove the AMC-6 satellite as a requested satellite point of communication. The ESV application initially requested authority to operate up to 300 ESVs via the AMC-6 satellite at 72° W.L. (File No. SES-LIC-20070504-00563) The application was subsequently amended in File No. SES-AMD-20090515-00596 to substitute KVH as the applicant, add the AMC-15 satellite at 105° W.L as a point of communication, and make other minor adjustments to the pending ESV application. 1 The Commission has granted a series of STAs to operate this ESV network via both AMC-6 satellite and the AMC-15 satellite, pending grant of an underlying application for an ESV license. See File Nos. SES- STA-20070329-00421, SES-STA-20070529-00728, SES-STA-20070720-00973, SES-STA-20080110- 00035, SES-STA-20080801-01010, SES-STA-20080916-01214, SES-STA-20090219-00196, SES-STA- 20090515-00593, SES-STA-20090515-00595 and, currently, SES-STA-20090722-0902. In its most recent STA request, KVH indicated that it had transitioned to the AMC-15 satellite and was no longer operating the network via the AMC-6 satellite. Accordingly, KVH did not seek further authority to communicate via the AMC-6 satellite, and the current STA provides authority only to communicate with the AMC-15 satellite. 1 The information in the underlying ESV application proceeding is hereby incorporated by reference.
