Dear Secretary Dortch:

SES Americom, Inc., hereby submits supplemental information relating to its above-
referenced filing for a new satellite earth station authorization. Pursuant to the requirements
associated with the Puerto Rico Coordination Zone Agreement we have coordinated with the
National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center, Arecibo Observatory, Arecibo, Puerto Rico,
providing the technical aspects of our application for their consideration. Please find attached
a copy of the response signed by the Observatory Director and Spectrum Manager stating that
they have no objection to the installation of our earth station and no reason to believe it will
cause harmful interference to the radio astronomy bands used by the Observatory.

Please contact the undersigned if you have any questions regarding this information.

   Dear James R. Barker:

Thank you very much for the copy of your FCC application sent to us in
accordance with the Puerto Rico Coordination zone agreements. We have
considered the technical aspects of your application and find that your
installation is unlikely to cause harmful interference to the passive use of the
Radio Astronomy bands at the Observatory. We therefore have no objection to
   your proposed installation.

   Sincerely yours,
