News 12 Westchester, Inc. Notification of Modification of License Exhibit 1 Notification of Name Change News 12 Westchester, Inc. (“News 12”) hereby notifies the FCC of the change in name of the entity holding the authorization for station E040326 (the “Station”). The Station was formerly licensed to Rainbow Westchester Holdings, Inc. (“Rainbow”). However, on December 14, 2005, Rainbow changed its name to News 12. This was a name change only, not a transfer or assignment. News 12 today is the same legal entity as Rainbow was prior to December 14, 2005. Through a clerical error, News 12 did not submit a notification, pursuant to Section 25.118 of the rules, within thirty (30) days of its name change. News 12 now wishes to correct this inadvertent oversight. Accordingly, News 12 seeks waiver of the FCC’s rules, as required, to submit the notification at this time. The purpose of the Commission’s rules requiring notification of, in this case, a change in licensee name, is to ensure that the FCC is able to contact a licensee. Because the licensee’s other contact information, including its mailing address and phone number, did not change when its name changed, the Commission was still able to contact the licensee. Under these circumstances, waiver of the rules is in the public interest.
