Subject: Univ. of Miami Sat Facility

Dear Mr. Peace:

As we discussed on the phone today, The University of Miami Richmond Satellite
Facility operates two 11-meter, receive-only earth stations for downlinking of
Earth Environmental Remote Imaging data. The satellites we access are the U.S.
operated Terra and Aqua, and the foreign operated ERS, Envisat, Radarsat and
SPOT satellites operating in the band 8.025 – 8.400 GHz.

We are currently experiencing in-band terrestrial interference, and would like
to take whatever licensing and/or registration steps that are appropriate to
protect our use of the spectrum.

The Tampa office has advised us to file Form 312, but it is unclear whether the
resulting authorization of a successful filing would provide the needed
protection. Please advise what steps we may take.

Regards,
Daniel Trimarco
