Re: Surrender of Call Sign E990427

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Americom Government Services, Inc. (“AGS,” doing business as “SES Government Solutions”),
by its attorney, hereby advises the Commission that it is surrendering its license for earth station
E990427 and requests that the Commission update its records to reflect the termination of the
license.

AGS previously attempted to surrender the license electronically through the IBFS system, but
was unable to do so. Upon investigation, AGS determined that when the license for this earth
station was renewed in 2009, the renewal application was inadvertently filed under the name of
AGS’s parent company, SES Americom, Inc. When the license renewal was granted, SES
Americom, Inc., rather than AGS, was listed on the license document. It appears that AGS’s
attempt to surrender the license was unsuccessful because of this error. However, AGS
remains the licensee of this station with authority to surrender the license.

Please address any questions regarding this matter to the undersigned.

Respectfully submitted,

/s/ Karis A. Hastings
