Office of Sec mt Washington, DC 20554 Re: Notice of Ex Parte Presentation Proceedings Listed on Attached Page Dear Ms. Dortch: On March 22, 2006, Rupert Peace, Group General Counsel of Inmarsat, and Diane Cornell, Vice President of Government Affairs, Inmarsat, met with Don Abelson, Rod Porter, and Gardner Foster of the International Bureau. Inmarsat explained the benefits that Inmarsat‘s new Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service would have for users in the United States, and urged that the pending applications for authority to provide BGAN service be approved expeditiously. Inmarsat also discussed its operational experience with the 14 satellite for its existing services since service commenced on this satellite in January 2006. Inmarsat also described recent demos of its BGAN service that had been done for U.S. Government users pursuant to its experimental license.
