NPG of California, LLC Form 312- Public Interest Statement This Statement is given in support of the Form 312 application by NPG of California, LLC, an applicant, inter alia, for assignment of the license of KION-TV, Monterey, CA. The public interest would be served by a grant of the subject Form 312 application, which would allow NPG of California, LLC to utilize the subject Earth Station in broadcasting significant news and other public interest programming from remote locations-- to viewers of digital station KION-TV, Monterey, CA --that otherwise could not be provided. Such broadcast services would not only be informative for KION-TV's audiences in the Monterey-Salinas television market but, in times of local emergencie's, would serve the greater public interest in safety and convenience.
