                                            Exhibit E

As shown in the accompanying corporate structure attachment, Alaska Telecom, Inc. is a wholly-
owned subsidiary of Calista Corporation ("Calista"), which is owned by Native Americans in
Alaska. See also www.calistacorp.com. The address of Calista Corporation is 301 Calista
Court, Suite A, Anchorage, Alaska 99518. Its telephone number is (907)-279-5516.

The Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) was signed into law on December 18, 1971.
ANCSA required that in order for Alaska Natives to receive benefits from the settlement they
needed to enroll by submitting an application to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). The BIA
then assigned which regional corporation an applicant would be enrolled in. It was a daunting
task, but Calista assisted over 13,300 shareholders in completing their BIA enrollment
applications, and helped village corporations meet filing requirements by the deadline. There are
currently some 20,000 shareholders. There are no stockholders holding 10 percent for more of
Calista's voting stock.

Calista, which means in the Yup'ik language "someone who works," is the second largest of 13
regional corporations formed under ANCSA and state law to increase shareholder benefits and
economic opportunities through innovation, growth, leadership, execution and financial
discipline. Indeed, the Calista Vision Statement is: "To increase financial prosperity through
diversified, global investments and business ventures - adhering to our Native values and
corporate responsibility." One of the companies created by Calista in furtherance of these goals
is Alaska Telecom, Inc. Its purpose is the designing, building, and integration of complex
communications systems in remote locations; and provision of VSAT, microwave, wireless,
radio systems, communications site-development construction - all in support of the public
interest as outlined in Exhibit F of this application.
