PUBLIC INTEREST STATEMENT Broadpoint License Co. LLC and ITC Global, Inc. show that the public interest will be well served by the Commission’s consenting to the assignment of these Earth Station licenses to ITC Global, Inc. ITC Global, Inc. will continue to provide service between points onshore and offshore drilling sites and production platforms. As demonstrated by the accident in 2010 at the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico, the search for and production of domestic petroleum resources to meet America’s energy requires safe and highly reliable telecommunications. The established system of Earth Stations for which consent to assignment of authorizations is requested provides such service. ITC Global, Inc. will continue to provide the existing services and work toward competitive expansion of satellite telecommunications services to offshore points. Accordingly, the public interest will be well served by grant of the instant application.
