We‘ve grown our fleet of Ku band satellite uplink trucks to serve an ever increasing need for reliable first response communication capability, news and live event production, contribution and broadcast. Metrovision recently purchased three C band uplink trucks from Videocom Satellite Associates Inc. to meet the needs of the major domestic broadcasters as well as international news and aid organizations. Permitting us to transfer the C band licenses from the previous owners is beneficial to the public interest; It will enable us to: e Actively serve the public at disaster sites and live events, e Participate in preparedness exercises within and across city, state and government agencies, power utilities and NGO‘s e Participate in the production and transmission of interactive distance learning, notably continuing medical education symposia e Deliver robust recovery communications services and breaking news coverage in conditions where conventional Ku band transmission would be impractical or impossible.
