The facility covered by this application is used in connection with news−gathering activities at a television station licensed to NBC License Company (LicenseCo), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the licensee of the subject satellite earth station, NBC Telemundo License CERTIFICATION The Applicant waives any claim to the use of any particular frequency or of the electromagnetic spectrum as against the regulatory power of the United States because of the previous use of the same, whether by license or otherwise, and requests an authorization in accordance with this application. The applicant certifies that grant of this application would not cause the applicant to be in violation of the spectrum aggregation limit in 47 CFR Part 20. 43. Description. (Summarize the nature of the application and the services to be provided). The facility covered by this application is used in connection with news−gathering activities at a television station licensed to NBC License Company (LicenseCo), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the licensee of the subject satellite earth station, NBC Telemundo License Co. (NBC Telemundo). An application for consent to the pro forma assignment of the television station license from LicenseCo to its wholly owned subsidiary, NBC WJAR License Company, is being filed concurrently herewith. The purpose of the instant application is to obtain consent to the pro forma assignment of the satellite earth station license from NBC Telemundo to its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, NBC WJAR License Company. The officers and directors of the current licensee, NBC Telemundo, and the proposed licensee, NBC WJAR License Company, are identical. Because there is no change in the ultimate ownership and control of the subject facility, the application is pro forma in nature. 15
