     Dear Ms. Dortch:

                    On April 20, 2004, the Commission granted the above-referenced
     applications seeking authority for the assignment of satellite earth station and
     VSAT licenses from Spacecom Systems, Inc. (“Spacecorn”) to EchoStar Acquisition
     L.L.C. (“EchoStar”).’ Pursuant to 47 C.F.R. § 25.119(f), assignments or transfers of
     control are to be completed within 60 days from the date of the authorization. By
     this letter, the parties request a 30-day extension of this period. Counsel for the
     parties today called Mr. Frank Peace of the Satellite Division of the International
     Bureau to provide oral notification that this request was being submitted.

                   The assignment applications were not contested, a n d there have been
     no material changes in the applicants’ circumstances since the applications were
     granted. Only the parties to this proceeding are affected by this request for
     extension of time. The parties will make every effort to complete the transactions
     as soon as possible. The grant of this request is in the public interest as it will
     facilitate completion of a transaction that the Bureau has already determined will
