The Commission’s consent to the assignment was granted by delegated staff action on July 6, 2000. The earth station is used in conjunction with the broadcast operations of Television Station KMTV, Omaha, Nebraska, for which an assignment application remains pending in the Mass Media Bureau. The parties anticipate an October 1, 2000 closing of assignments and transfers of 16 co- owned television stations and related non-broadcast licenses to Emmis. Extension of the earth station assignment consummation period is requested accordingly, to permit simultaneous closing of all the assignments and transfers.
