Form 312 Description December 7, 2011 Description This amendment was filed at the request of the FCC staff and restates the narrative purpose of the application in this Exhibit. In this Modification Application, CBS Communications Services Inc. ('CBS') seeks to: (i) convert the regulatory status of the subject earth station license from common carrier to non-common carrier status; and (ii) relinquish the station's currently-licensed transmit frequencies and in doing so, convert the regulatory status of the subject earth station license from transmit/receive to a receive-only. The current transmit frequencies that CBS is seeking to relinquish are in the 5925.0000 - 6425.0000 MHz frequency band. There are no other modifications to the regulatory or technical status of the earth station. The proposed conversion to non-common carrier and receive-only status would reflect the licensee's current usage of the earth station.
