43. Description. (Summarize the nature of the application and the services to be provided). Verestar, Inc. (Debtor−in−Possession) files this amendment to its pending VSAT application in order to supplement its application with a letter from SES Americom, Inc. SES Americom is the licensee of AMC−9 at 85 degrees W.L., the satellite with which Verestar’s VSAT system communicates. In addition, SES Americom is the licensee of AMC−3, the adjacent satellite at 87 degrees W.L. In the letter attached hereto, SES Americom acknowledges that the use of 96 cm transmit/receive antennae by Verestar ’will not cause unacceptable interference into adjacent satellites in accordance with the FCC’s 2−degree spacing policy and will accept interference from adjacent satellites to the degree to which harmful interference would not be expected to be caused to an earth station employing an antenna conforming to the reference patterns defined in Section 25.209 of the FCC rules.’ 14
