  Scope of Grant:       Special temporary authority for a period of 30 days to allow all satellites in the Planet Labs
                        constellation to continue to operate in the 8025—8400 MHz frequency band with the
                        Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) ground station in Troll, Antarctica and the Swedish
                        Space Corporation (SSC) ground station in Punta Arenas, Chile.!

  Unless otherwise specified herein, operations under this grant must comport with the legal and technical
  specifications set forth by the applicant or petitioner and with Federal Communication Commission‘s rules
  not waived herein.

         1.     Planet Labs shall avoid interfering with existing space agency missions using the same ground
                 stations by yielding priority to said missions when scheduling conflicts arise.

 Licensee/grantee is afforded thirty (30) days from the date of release of this action to decline the grant as
 conditioned. Failure to respond within this period will constitute formal acceptance of the grant as conditioned.

 This action is taken pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated authority, 47 C.F.R. §
 0.261, and is effective upon release.

 Station licenses are subject to the conditions specified in Section 309(h) of the Communications Act of 1934, as
 amended, 47 U.S.C. § 309(h).

 ‘ Condition 8 of the space station authorization for the Planet Labs constellation lists specific earth station
 locations to which the satellites are authorized to transmit in the 8025—8400 MHz frequency band. See File No.
 SAT—MOD—20150802—00053. The Troll and Punta Arenas earth stations are not included in the list of Condition
 8. This grant of STA authorizes transmissions to the Troll and Punta Arenas earth stations on a temporary basis,
 but does not otherwise change the terms and limitations of Condition 8.

8. Description

Planet Labs Inc.          (Planet)   requests an additional 30—day extension of the special temporary
authority        (STA)   granted in File Nos.    SAT—STA—20170225—00022 and SAT—STA—20170407—00059,
incorporated herein by reference,            to communicate in the 8025—8400 MHz band with ground stations in
Troll, Antarctica and Punta Arenas,             Chile.   Grant of this extension request will provide Planet
with the additional downlink capacity needed to support the transmission of imaging data from its
satellite constellation pending the filing of its permanent application for an earth station in
Inuvik,    Canada,       and accordingly serves the public interest.
