                                 00097 and SAT-STA-20140502-00047

                          Dear Ms. Dortch:

                          In accordance with Section 1.1206 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.1206,
this letter notifies the Commission that on October 9, 2014 Susan Crandall, Roya
Shambayati, Cynthia Grady, and Adam Ours of Intelsat, and Jennifer Hindin and
Colleen King of Wiley Rein LLP and counsel for Intelsat, met with Jose
Albuquerque, Karl Kensinger, Stephen Duall, Kathyrn Medley, Jay Whaley, and
Cindy Spiers of the Federal Communications Commission’s International Bureau
(“Bureau”) regarding the above-referenced applications to operate the Intelsat 5
satellite at the 157.0° E.L. orbital location.

During the meeting, Intelsat discussed pleadings filed by ABS Global, Ltd. (“ABS”)
asking the Commission to delay Intelsat’s continued use of C-band frequencies at
157.0° E.L. pending completion of a new coordination agreement.1 Consistent with
its pleadings in this proceeding, Intelsat urged the FCC to disregard ABS’s
comments and expeditiously grant the pending STA and modification applications
to ensure Intelsat’s continued ability to serve its customers.2 In addition, Intelsat
discussed the effect of FCC conditions on coordination.
