Dortch Secretary Federal Communications Commission 445 12th Street, SW Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: IBFS File No. SAT-STA-20140314-00031 (Call Sign S2232) Dear Ms. Dortch: EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation (“EchoStar”) responds to Spectrum Five LLC’s (“Spectrum Five”) informal opposition against the above-referenced application for renewal of special temporary authorization (“STA”) to operate the EchoStar 6 satellite at 96.2º W.L. 1 Spectrum Five merely rehashes the same baseless claims raised against prior STA renewal applications to operate EchoStar 6 at 96.2º W.L. To this end, EchoStar in prior pleadings has responded fully to those frivolous allegations. Accordingly, EchoStar urges the Commission to grant its application and reject Spectrum Five’s informal opposition for the same reasons set forth in the EchoStar MO&O, EchoStar STA Order, and EchoStar’s responses to Spectrum Five’s virtually identical claims. 2 Sincerely, /s/ Jennifer A.
