See Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority to Drift and Operate Intelsat 706 Call Sign S2401, File No. SAT-STA-20120801-00123 (filed Aug. 1, 2012). Intelsat operated Intelsat 706 at 72.0° E.L. from August 13, 2012 through August 16, 2012 pursuant to continuing authority under section 1.62 of the Commission’s rules. See 47 C.F.R. § 1.62; see also Policy Branch Information; Actions Taken, Report No. SAT- 00846, File No. SAT-STA-20111230-00253 (Feb. 17, 2012) (Public Notice) (authorizing operation of Intelsat 706 at 72.0° E.L. until August 13, 2012).
