Washington, DC 20554 Re: Intelsat 801 Corrected De—orbit Notice Call Sign: $2391 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") hereby notifies the Commission that it has successfully de—orbited its Intelsat 801 satellite. The de—orbiting was completed on December 16, 2013. The final measured orbit of the Intelsat 801 satellite is 438.2 km above the geostationary arc, with an apogee and perigee of 477.8 km and 404.3 km‘ above the arc, respectively. In the course of de—orbiting the satellite Intelsat vented the remaining helium, discharged the batteries, disconnected the power from the bus, and shut off the transmitters." Intelsat previously was granted a waiver of the Section 25.283(c) requirement to discharge all stored energy at the spacecraft‘s end oflife.
