Attachment to Grant Application of Intelsat North America, LLC IBFS File No. SAT—STA—20100525—00109 The request of SES Americom, Inc. (doing business as "SES WORLD SKIES) (SES Americom) for special temporary authority for a period of 150 days in order to drift its C—band space station, SATCOM C—3 (Call Sign $2447) to 79.15° W.L. orbital location and maintain it at that location, IBFS File No. SAT—STA—20100615—00317, is granted. Accordingly, SES Americom is authorized, for a period of 150 days commencing on July 31, 2010, to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Telecommand (TT&C) operations with the SATCOM C—3 space station necessary to drift the SATCOM C—3 space station to the 79.15° W.L. orbital location, and to maintain SATCOM C—3 at this location, using the following frequencies: 3700.5 MHz (Horizontal/space— to—Earth) and 4199.5 (Vertical/space—to—Earth); and 6423.5 MHz (Horizontal/Earth—to—space). This authorization shall be in accordance with the technical specifications set forth in SES‘s application, the Commission‘s rules, and the following conditions: 1. All operations during the drift shall be on an unprotected and non—harmful interference basis, i.e., SES Americom shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station. 2. In the event of any harmful interference caused by SATCOM C—3 during the drift to the 79.15° W.L. orbital location, SES Americom shall cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and shall inform the Commuission, in writing, immediately of such an event. 3. During the drift to the 79.15° W.L. orbital location and while at 79.15° W.L., SES Americom may not operate SATCOM C—3‘s communications payload. 4. While at the 79.15° W.L. orbital location, SES Americom shall maintain the SATCOM C—3 spacecraft with an east/west longitudinal station—keeping tolerance of +/— 0.05 degrees. 5. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary authority is solely at SES Americom‘s own risk. 6. SES Americom is afforded thirty days from the date of release of this grant and authorization to decline this authorization as conditioned. Failure to respond within this period will constitute formal acceptance of the authorization as conditioned. 7. This action is issued pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.261, and is effective immediately.
