Dortch: Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat"), pursuant to Section 25.120 of the rules of the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC" or "Commission"),‘ herein requests a 30—day further extension — through January 4, 2010 — of the Special Temporary Authority ("STA") previously granted Intelsat to continue operating the Intelsat 706 satellite‘s payload (Call Sign $2401) at its current location of 54.85° E.L. Intelsat 706 will continue to operate at that focation in accordance with the ITU filings of the Indian Adrninistratio’n.4 Grant of this STA extension request is in the public interest because it will . ensure continuity of service to Intelsat‘s customers in the Indian Ocean Région.
