                 Re: File No. SAT—STA—20080616—00121

    Dear Ms. Dortch:

On September 8, 2008, DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC ("DIRECTV") filed
comments on the above referenced application by EchoStar Corporation ("EchoStar") for
special temporary authority ("STA") to relocate the EchoStar 8 Direct Broadcast Satellite
space station to 77° W.L. where it would provide service into the United States. In those
comments, DIRECTV expressed its concerns about the operation of another co—
frequency, co—coverage DBS satellite in such close proximity to DIRECTV‘s operations
at 72.5° W.L., but also noted that DIRECTV and EchoStar were engaged in coordination
discussions and hoped to arrive at a mutually satisfactory resolution.

DIRECTV can now report that those discussions have been successful, and the
parties have reached a satisfactory arrangement for their respective operations at these
two orbital locations. Accordingly, DIRECTV‘s concerns in this matter have been fully
    addressed.

                                                 Sincerely yours,

                                                 William M. Wiltshire
                                                 Counselfor DIRECTVY Enterprises, LLC
