During this discussion, we urged prompt action by the Commission to grant the requested STAs. We also discussed the potential impact on consumers in individual markets of failing to grant the STAs. We emphasized the importance of ensuring that consumers in all markets are able to receive robust satellite radio service and suggested that XM‘s failure to obtain prior authorization for variant repeaters should not be outcome determinative in the STA process.
