Attachment sAT—STA—20060507—00085 Galaxy—16 Call Sign: 52687 June 8, 2006 PanAmSat Licensee Corp.‘s (PanAmSat) request for Special Temporary Authority (STA), IBRS File No. SAT—STA—20060507—00055, to perform in—orbit testing (IOT) ofts hybrid C— and Ku—band satellite, Galaxy—16, at the 76.5° W.L.orbital location for a period of 30 days IS GRANTED. Accordingly, PanAmSatis authorized on a non interference basis to perform IOT at 76.5° W.L. on the Galaxy 16 satellite using the C— band frequencies of 5925 — 6425 MHz (Earth to space}, 3700 — 4200 MHz (space to Earth), and Ku—band frequencies of 14000 — 14500 MHz (Earth to space), 11700—— 12200 MHz (space to Earth) and the Tracking, Telemetry, and Command (TT&C) frequencies for which it is regularly authorized, IBFS File No. SAT—RPL—20051 18—00233, for 30 days, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set forth in its application, this Attachment and the Federal Communications Commission‘s Rules. a) PanAmSat shall coordinate its operations so that no harmful interference shall be caused to any other lawfully operating satellte or radiocommunication system. In the event that any harmful interference does occur, PanAmSat shall cease operations immediately and inform the Commission in writing of such event b) PanAmSat is required to accept interference from any other lawfully operating satelliteor radiocommunication systems. c) PanAmSat must notify the Commission no later than three days after it has completed in—orbit testing of Galaxy—16 at 76.5° W.L. d): PanAmSat is afforded thity days from the date of this action to decline this authorization as conditioned.. Failure to respond within this period will constitute formal acceptance ofthe authorization as conditioned. «) This action is used pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.261, and is effective upon release.
