SAT-STA-20040107-00002;SAT-STA-20030903-00300 Dear Ms. Dortch: On Wednesday, June 9,2004, I met with the staff of the International Bureau on behalf of The DIRECTV Group, Inc. Present on behalf of the Bureau were Don Abelson, Tom Tycz, Rod Porter, and Karl Kensinger . We discussed open issues related to DIRECTV's proposed use of a Canadian BSS slot at 72.5" W.L., as well as potential international issues related to its proposal to provide a BSS satellite for Telesat's use at another Canadian BSS slot. I urged expedition in resolving these issues and ruling on DIRECTV's pending STA requests. I am filing two copies of this notice in each of the above-captioned dockets.
