    Dear Ms. Dortch:

SES AMERICOM, Inc. (“SESAMERICOM”), by its attorneys, hereby
withdraws the above-referenced request for special temporary authority (the “STA
Request”). The STA Request sought authority to test the AMC-9 spacecraft at
82” W.L. SES AMERICOM later determined that it would be preferable to test
that satellite at 81.9”W.L., and sought and received authority to test at that
location prior to the launch of AMC-9 last June. See File No. SAT-STA-20030327-
00041. The original STA Request is therefore moot, and SES AMERICOM is
    withdrawing it.

Please direct any questions regarding this matter to the undersigned.
                                                        Respect fully submitted ,

                                                        Karis A. Hastings
                                                        Counsel for SES AMERICOM, Inc.
