Dear Mr. Ponder:

        I received your letter dated March 11, 2019, in which you requested confirmation of the proper
method of measuring the transmit power of Band 53 network devices in the 2483.5-2495 GHz frequency
band. Compliance laboratories requested this clarification in order to measure the transmit power for
such devices under the certification requirements set forth in section 25. 149(c)(4)(iii) of the
Commission’s rules, 47 CFR § 25. 149(c)(4)(iii). In response, I can confirm the following:

        (a) The transmit power may be measured via an averaging method and is not to exceed 1 W;

       (b) The peak EIRP is computed by the application of the peak antenna gain to the transmit power
measured via an averaging method and is not to exceed 6 dBW.

         I trust this response provides the requested confirmation. Please let me know if any further
clarification is needed.

                                                 Sincerely,

                                                 Th~ P. Albuquerque
