Dear Ms. Dortch:
                                                           1
        Consistent with its Commission authorization , Planet Labs Inc. (Planet) successfully
launched put into operations 5 of 5 satellites in the month of January. More specifically, launched
via the Indian PSLV launch vehicle on January 12, 2018, 4 of 4 satellites, known as Flock 3P’
(“3P-prime”), to a nominal orbital altitude of approximately 500 by 513 km with inclination of 97.6
degrees. Another single satellite was launched on January 21, 2018, known as Dove Pioneer, to a
nominal orbit of 300 by 500 km within inclination of 83 degrees via the Rocket Lab Electron
vehicle. These satellites operate under Call Sign S2912 in the authorized bands 8025-8400 MHz
(space-to-Earth) for remote sensing data, 2025-2110 MHz (Earth to space) for telecommand data,
401-402 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 449.75-450.25 (Earth to space) for telemetry, tracking, and
control operations.

                                      CERTIFICATION


1. I am the responsible engineer for the satellite communications of Planet, the licensee of
   Call Sign S2912.

2. Pursuant to Condition 16 of the above referenced authorization, as well as Sections
   25.164(a), 25.164(f), and 25.173(b) of the Commission’s Rules, I hereby certify that:
      (a) Planet launched the Flock 3PP satellites consisting of 4 satellites on January 12,
          2018, and launched the single Dove Pioneer satellite on January 21, 2018.
      (b) The Flock 3PP space stations have been placed in their nominal assigned orbital
          altitudes of approximately 500 by 513 km with inclination of 97.6 degrees, and the
          Dove Pioneer space station has been placed in its nominal assigned orbital altitude
          of approximately 300 by 500 km with inclination of 83 degrees.
      (c) The early in-orbit testing of the space stations has been completed;
      (d) All 5 of the 5 launched satellites are operational.
      (e) The measured performance of the operational space stations is consistent with
          their station authorization; and
      (f) The space stations are capable of using their assigned frequencies.
