Milestone Completion for DIRECTV KU-79W (Call Sign S2861)
                                         IBFS File Nos. SAT-LOA-20120316-00051, SAT-MOD-20150422-00029

                         Dear Ms. Dortch:

On July 12, 2012, the International Bureau authorized DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC
(“DIRECTV”) to launch and operate DIRECTV KU-79W, a Ku-band FSS space
station, at the nominal 79° W.L. orbital location.1 In accordance with Condition
6(e) of that authorization and Section 25.165 of the Commission’s rules,2
DIRECTV posted a $3 million performance bond to secure its compliance with four
milestone requirements. The Commission has previously determined that
DIRECTV demonstrated satisfaction of the first three milestones.3

As confirmed by the declaration submitted July 17, 2015, the DIRECTV KU-79W
began regular operations at its authorized orbital location on June 23, 2015.4
Accordingly, DIRECTV has satisfied the final milestone requirement in its
authorization, and therefore requests that the Commission find it is entitled to
                         cancel its performance bond.
