Attachment to Grant DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC IBFS File No. SAT—MOD—20150422—00029 Call Sign $2861 The application of DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (DIRECTV), IBFS File No. SAT—MOD—20150422—00029, to modify the authorization for its DIRECTV KU—79W geostationary—satellite orbit space station (Call Sign $2861) is GRANTED. Accordingly, DIRECTV is authorized to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C) functions necessary to operate DIRECTV KU—7IW at the 78.8° W.L. orbital location using center frequencies of 11700.75 MHz and 11702.25 MHz (space—to—Earth) for telemetry and 14001 MHz (Earth—to—space) for command.‘ DIRECTV‘s existing authorization to construct, launch, and operate DIRECTV KU—79W to provide Fixed—Satellite Service (FSS) in the 11.7—12.2 GHz (space—to—Earth) and 14.0—14.5 GHz (Earth—to—space) frequency bands at the 78.8° W.L. orbital location remains otherwise unchanged. This authorization must be in accordance with the technical specifications set forth in DIRECTV‘s application, as supplemented, DIRECTY‘s current authorization as amended and modified, Federal Communication Commission rules not waived herein, and the following conditions: 1. Except to the extent modified herein, DIRECTV must operate DIRECTV KU— 79W pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in IBFS File No. SAT—LOA—20120316— 00051, as amended by IBFS File No. SAT—AMD—20120420—00071 (granted July 12, 2012), and modified by IBFS File Nos. APPLICATION FOR MINOR MODIFICATION OF AUTHORITY TO LAUNCH AND OPERATE DIRECTV KU—7W Call Sign S2861 DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC ("DIRECTV") hereby requests a minor modification ofits authorization to launch and operate DIRECTV KU—79W (Call Sign $2861), a Ku—band satellite, at the nominal 79° W.L. orbital location, solely with respect to the precise frequencies to be used for telemetry, tracking and command ("TT&C) functions.‘ The table below sets forth the TT&C frequencies authorized in the existing DIRECTV KU—79W authorization and the new frequencies requested herein. Existing Requested Command 14000.5 MHz 14001.0 MHz 14496.5 MHz 14496.5 MHz Telemetry 11700.25 MHz 11700.75 MHz 11701.25 MHz 11702.25 MHz The requested modification will serve the public interest by conforming the authorization to the operational parameters of the satellite, and ensuring that DIRECTV can perform TT&C for the satellite without causing harmful interference to any nearby operators. In accordance with Section 25.117(d)(1) of the Commuission‘s rules, DIRECTV hereby certifies that the remaining information in its prior applications has not changed. In light of the satellite‘s impending launch, DIRECTV requests that this modification be granted as expeditiously as possible. ‘ See Grant Stamp, IBFS File No. SAT—MOD—20140902—00098 (Nov. 20, 2014) (establishing TT&C frequencies). The changes proposed herein do not involve a request for additional orbital or spectrum resources, and thus should be deemed minor in nature.
