Re: Application for Milestone Extension for DIRECTV RB-1
                 IBFS File No. SAT-MOD-20140624-00077

Dear Ms. Dortch:

This is to inform you that the DIRECTV 14 satellite, which carries the 17/24 GHz BSS
payload known as DIRECTV RB-1, has been delivered to the Arianespace launch site in Kourou,
French Guiana, as has its co-passenger (GSAT-16). Both satellites are currently being readied
for launch, which is scheduled for early December. 1 DIRECTV anticipates that, after orbit-
raising and in-orbit testing have been completed, the spacecraft will arrive at its assigned 99º
W.L. orbital location in early February 2015.

Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

                                                Respectfully submitted,

                                                   /s/

                                                William M. Wiltshire
                                                Counsel for DIRECTV
