Washington, DC 200554 Re: Notice of Commencement of Inclined Orbit Operations for Intelsat 5 Call Sign S2704 Dear Ms. Dortch: Pursuant to Section 25.280(a) of the Commission's rules (47 C.F.R. § 25.280(a)), Intelsat License LLC hereby notifies the FCC of the commencement of inclined orbit operations for Intelsat 5. Intelsat intends shortly to begin drifting Intelsat 5 from 169.0° E.L. to 65.45° E.L. pursuant to Special Temporary Authority (“STA”).1 As noted in the STA requests, at 65.45° E.L., Intelsat 5 will operate in inclined orbit mode. Set forth below is the information required by the Commission. (1) The operator's name is Intelsat License LLC. (2) The satellite left the 0.05° inclination control box on October 21, 2012. The last north/south station-keeping maneuver occurred on October 12, 2012. (3) The initial inclination (after the last north/south station-keeping maneuver) was 0.0319°.
