Washington, DC 200554 Re: Notice of Commencement of Inclined Orbit Operations for Intelsat 9 Call Sign S2380 Dear Ms. Dortch: Pursuant to Section 25.280(a) of the Commission's rules (47 C.F.R. § 25.280(a)), Intelsat License LLC hereby notifies the FCC of the commencement of inclined orbit operations for Intelsat 9. Intelsat currently is drifting Intelsat 9 from 58.0° W.L. to 43.10° W.L. pursuant to Special Temporary Authority (“STA”).1 As noted in the STA request, at 43.10° W.L., Intelsat 9 will operate in inclined orbit mode. Set forth below is the information required by the Commission. (1) The operator's name is Intelsat License LLC. (2) The satellite left the 0.05° inclination control box on November 3, 2012. The last north/south station-keeping maneuver occurred on September 22, 2012. (3) The initial inclination (after the last north/south station-keeping maneuver) was 0.02833º. (4) The rate of change in inclination per year is as follows: 2011 – 0.839° per year 2012 – 0.812° per year 2013 – 0.787° per year 2014 – 0.771° per year 2015 – 0.765° per year 2016 – 0.769° per year 1 See Policy Branch Information; Actions Taken, Report No. SAT-00909, File No. SAT-STA-20120621-00103 (Nov. 2, 1012) (Public Notice).
