Re: Inclined Orbit of AMC-2 (Call Sign S2134)

Dear Ms. Dortch:

SES Americom, Inc. (“SES Americom”), by its attorneys and pursuant to Section 25.280(a) of
the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.280(a), hereby advises the Commission that its AMC-2
spacecraft will be commencing inclined orbit operations at the 78.95° W.L. orbital location.

The last inclination control maneuver took place on August 9, 2011, and the satellite will leave
the inclination window of 0.05 degrees on October 1, 2011. SES Americom projects that the
inclination will change at a rate of about 0.8 degrees per year. SES Americom has proposed to
relocate AMC-2 later this year to the nominal 5º E.L. orbital location and to operate it there
pursuant to Swedish licensing authority.1 The expected end-of-life of AMC-2 accounting for its
inclined orbit is May, 2016.

Please address any questions regarding this matter to the undersigned.

Respectfully submitted,

/s/ Karis A. Hastings
