The Honorable Julius Genachowski, Chairman
Federal Communications Commission
445 121h Street, SW
Washington, D.C. 20554

RE: TB Docket No. 11-109, Reply Comments: Public Notice

Dear Chairman Genachowski:

As you know, our nation is facing a severe shortage. It is a shortage of affordable mobile
broadband services. As smart phones and tablet computers become more popular with students and
businesses, consumers will quickly feel the effects of a looming spectrum crunch.
It is because of my concern for this inevitable spectrum crunch that I want to register my
opinion regarding an American company, LightSquared, which is poised to help us meet our broadband
needs.
LightSquared is poised and ready to build out a 4G-LTE network to expand access to wireless
broadband, increase competition in the marketplace and give consumers new choices and lower prices.
With LightSquared, telecommunications partners that lack their own wireless network or suffer from
limited geographic coverage or spectrum can market and sell their own products using the
LightSquared network.
I understand the concerns surrounding interference between LightSquared's network and
Global Positioning Systems. However, this country needs LightSquared to quickly build out a
nationwide ground-based network and bring more mobile broadband spectrum online for consumers
and businesses.
Surely the FCC can find a way forward for the company to exist alongside GPS. To squander the
opportunity for this new network is unacceptable.
       Thank you for your consideration.

                                                Sincerely,

                                               Representative Scott Dieckhaus
                                               Missouri's 109th District
