  Washington, DC 20554

  Dear Chairman Genachowski,

The lack of access to affordable high-speed wireless broadband in New York's North Country and rural
parts of Central New York is a major problem for many of my constituents. The absence of competition in the
wireless broadband market, continues to perpetuate the problem. As a result, I'm writing today to encourage the
FCC to find a solution to the interference issues between a nationwide wireless broadband network proposed by
LightSquared and our nation's GPS systems.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has declared our State "Open for Business" and as we work hard to create a
more conducive business environment, it's important to explore opportunities that promote growth. In the
recession, some companies have hunkered down and now it's critical we work with those companies that are
willing to make investments in our economy.

LightSquared's nationwide wholesale network is said to help create thousands ofjobs and help provide
rural access to wireless broadband services. In addition to helping our local and state economies, expanded access
to a wireless broadband network will hopefully help address public safety problems caused by gaps in current
wireless networks in rural communities across New York State.

Please do all that you can to promote a fair process that will help LightSquared and the GPS community
find a solution to current interference problems.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
