GPS is a global utility that has brought tremendous benefits to many fields of endeavour. It also supports a very profitable industry in the United States. The American taxpayer has probably invested in the neighbourhood of $30B in GPS to date. You are considering allowing Lightsquared to make GPS unusable in its home country. The longer this farce goes on the more it looks like the United States is a backwater where decisions appear to be made through influence and trickery rather than common sense and rigorous technical analysis. It is past time that Lightsquared should be told to go away and use some other part of the spectrum. Sincerely, Ross Bowie
