Subject: In the Matter of LightSquared LLC Request for Modification of its Authority for an Ancillary Terrestrial
Component; SAT—MOD—20101118—00239

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Technology will never cease to grow and develop. The key is making sure that technology is accessible to
everyone, so that we all may grow and develop together. I‘m writing today to express my support for a company
called LightSquared because its plans will make technology more accessible, especially to currently underserved
communities.

To explain, LightSquared plans to invest $14 billion to build a wholesale 4G wireless network. As a wholesale
provider, LightSquared will allow niche wireless companies, including those that specialize in non—contract plans
that appeal to lower—income families, to provide broadband wireless access. This will bring badly needed
competition to the cell phone industry, which in turn, will dramatically lower prices for all.

Sadly, LightSquared‘s endeavors have been delayed due to interference issues with GPS receivers, but with the
collaborative effort of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), LightSquared believes that the issues will
be resolved.

Therefore, I write to express my support for the FCC‘s efforts to address the interference issues so that
LightSquared can bring broadband wireless coverage to underserved communities across the nation.

Sincerely,

 Mial:CE
