INTELSAT Washington, DC 20554 Re: Intelsat 704 De—orbit Call Sign: $2397 Dear Ms Dortch: Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat") hereby notifies the Commission that it has successfully de—orbited its Intelsat 704 satellite. The de—orbiting was completed on May 28, 2009. The final measured orbit of the Intelsat 704 satellite is 308.5 km above the geostationary arc, with an apogee and perigee of 311 km and 306 km above the arc, respectively. In the course of de—orbiting the satellite, Intelsat depleted the propellant tanks, discharged the batteries, disconnected the power from the bus, and shut off the transmitters.
