Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Retirement of Satcom C-3 (Call Sign S2447), File No. SAT-MOD-20080318-00073 Dear Ms. Dortch: SES Americom, Inc., (“SES Americom,” doing business as “SES WORLD SKIES”),1 by its attorneys, hereby advises the Commission that it has placed its Satcom C-3 spacecraft, call sign S2447, into a disposal orbit and asks that the Commission close the IBFS license account for this spacecraft. Deorbit maneuvers commenced on October 5, and final commands were sent on October 10. The disposal orbit has a perigee altitude of approximately 835 km above the geostationary arc and an apogee altitude of approximately 1050 km above the geostationary arc. The eccentricity is 0.0025. In light of the satellite’s retirement, SES Americom requests that the Commission terminate the license account for call sign S2447 in the IBFS database.
