Dear Ms. Dortch:

PanAmSat Licensee Corp. ("PanAmSat") hereby notifies the Commission that
it has successfully de—orbited its SBS—6 satellite. The de—orbiting was
completed on February 20, 2009. The final measured orbit of the SBS—6
satellite is 362.18 km above the geostationary arc, with an apogee and perigee
of 394.78 km and 329.574 km above the arc, respectively. In the course of de—
orbiting the satellite, PanAmSat depleted the propellant tanks, discharged the
batteries, disconnected the power from the bus, and shut off the transmitters.

Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned should you have any
questions.
