Petition for Reconsideration File Nos. SAT-STA-20050321-00068,SAT-MOD-20050513-
        00103, SES-MFS-20050527-00662

Dear Ms. Dortch,

               In accordance with Section 1.1206 of the Commission’s Rules, 47 C.F.R. 0 1.1206,
EchoStar Satellite L.L.C. (“EchoStar”) submits this letter to report that, on June 28, 2005, the
undersigned had telephone conversations with Rod Porter, Thomas Tycz and Karl Kensinger of the
International Bureau regarding the above-referencedpetition for reconsideration.

In those conversations, EchoStar respectfully requested expeditious action on the pending
petition for reconsideration in light of the fact that the EchoStar 4 satellite is already on its way to 61.35’
W.L. pursuant to a SpeciaI Temporary Authority (“STA’) granted on June 17,2005. See Public Notice,
DA 05-1772 (rel. Jun. 24,2005). As EchoStar explained in its STA request for that move, “If the
Commission grants Echostar’s pending petition for reconsideration regarding its request to place
EchoStar 4 at 77” W.L. during the requested 30-day period, EchoStar will stop the spacecraft at 77”
W.L.” See Application at 1-2,Jiled in File No. SAT-STA-20050614-00124 (filed Jun. 14, 2005).

                                                                             STEPTO E &Jo H N S O N LLP
