Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: DIRECTV8 ($2132/82632) SPACEWAY 1 (S2191) sSPACEWAY 2 ($2133) Dear Ms. Dortch: This is to inform you that, in accordance with the authorizations granted by the Commission, (1) the DIRECTV 8 satellite, Call Signs $2132 (Ka—band) and $2632 (DBS), was successfully placed into orbit at the nominal 101° W.L. orbital location and subsequently began commercial operations on June 23, 2005; (2) the SPACEWAY 1 satellite, Call Sign S$2191, was successfully placed into orbit at the nominal 103° W.L. orbital location and subsequently began commercial operations on October 20, 2005; and (3) the SPACEWAY 2 satellite, Call Sign $2133, was successfully placed into orbit at the nominal 99° W.L. orbital location and subsequently began commercial operations on April 14, 2006.
