            Call Sign: S2402

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat") hereby notifies the Commission that it
has successfully de—orbited its Intelsat 802 satellite. The de—orbiting was
completed on September 28, 2010. The final measured orbit of the Intelsat 802
satellite is 572 km above the geostationary arc, with an apogee and perigee of
678.29 km and 464.3 km above the arc, respectively. In the course of de—
orbiting the satellite, Intelsat depleted the propellant tanks —— except for the
oxidizer tank for which Intelsat was granted a waiver of Section 25.283(c) of
the Commission‘s rules.‘ Intelsat also discharged the batteries, disconnected the
power from the bus, and shut off the transmitters.

Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned should you have any questions.

Respectfully submitted,
