Participating on behalf of Amazon were David Limp, Brian Huseman, and Darren Achord. The parties discussed Amazon’s pending application for authorization to launch and operate the Kuiper System – a Ka-band non-geostationary satellite orbit (“NGSO”) system providing high-speed, low-latency broadband services to tens of millions of unserved and underserved consumers and businesses in the United States and around the globe. Amazon also described some of the Kuiper System’s features referenced in its pending application, as well as the opportunity for NGSOs to work together – and with terrestrial providers – to deliver quality broadband communications services to customers in rural and hard-to-reach areas.
