Washington, DC 20554 INTELSAT Re: Supplement to Application for Authority to Launch and Operate Intelsat 16 Call Sign $2750, File No. SAT—LOA—20080416—00085 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat") hereby clarifies that with respect to its above referenced application for the Intelsat 16 satellite: ' (a) The above referenced application seeks authority to operate Intelsat 16 at 58.1° W.L. in the following bands: 13750—14500 MHz and 11700—12200 MHz. Although the Intelsat 16 satellite also includes the bands 12750— 13250 MHz and 10700—11450 MHz, Intelsat is not seeking authority to operate in these bands in the above referenced application. (b) The Intelsat 16 satellite at 58.1° W.L. will provide service in the bands—. 13750—14500 MHz and 11700—12200 MHz to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. (c) For purposes of the Commission‘s bond requirements, Intelsat 16 is not a replacement satellite for Intelsat 9, which currently operates at 58.0° W.L. Sincerely, Susan H.
