("ViaSat") hereby surrenders the above—referenced authorization to launch and operate a Ka band geostationary ("GSO") satellite at the 115.2° W.L. orbital location, which the Commission granted on July 18, 2007. It has become apparent that ViaSat‘s plans for this satellite are not currently viable given difficulties in the international frequency coordination process. Therefore, ViaSat will not pursue implementation of this satellite at this time. ViaSat is pleased to report that it is separately submitting a bond with respect to its authorized Ka band satellite at the nominal 77° W.L. location, and looks forward to keeping the Commission apprised on its efforts to deploy a broadband network at that location.
