Washington, DC 20036 Re: Submission of Executed Satelite Construction Contract for DIRECTV 10 and DIRECTV 11, IRFS File Numbers: SAT—LOA—20040909—00168 (§2640); SAT— L0A—20040909—00169 (s2641) Dear Mr. Wiltshire: On January 30, 2006, on behalfothe DIRECTV Group, Inc.(DIRECTV), you submitted a redacted copy othe satellte construction contract between DIRECTV Operations, LLC and Bocing Satelite Systems, Inc. as pat of a request fora determination that DIRECTV has completed th first three milestones for the above referenced space station licenses. In order for Commissionstafftoeffectively evaluate DIRECTV‘s compliance with thefistmilestone, execution ofa binding non—contingent construction contract, we requestthat you submit an unredacted copy oftcontract to the Commission by no later than May 3, 2006. To extent DIRECTV requests confidentil reatment ofany information contained in the contract, DIRECTV should follow the Commission‘s rulesconceming the format and timing of requestsfor confidentiaity.
